In response to ATel 8571, "MASTER: high amplitude optical flare in Pleiades direction". We have observed the field of the new object using the WIYN 0.9-m telescope at Kitt Peak, using 300-second images in V-band with the HDI camera. We find no object at the reported position of the flare. However, we do see a bright object several arcminutes to the East of the reported position. This object, of magnitude approximately V = 16, is likely to be asteroid (4801) Ohre, which is very near this position and moving in the same direction according to the Minor Planet Checker.
