On 2016 Jan 10.055 (UT) we obtained a spectrum of CSS151219:101935+390048 with the Liverpool Telescope equipped
with the SPRAT low-resolution spectrograph. A comparison of the spectrum
with a library of templates (using SNID, Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666,
1024) shows that the object is a type Ia SN, at about 7 days past
maximum light. The best match is a 1991-T like object although many good
matches are obtained for a normal Ia. The bets fit redshift of the supernova is about
0.038.
CSS151219:101935+390048 was V=16.8 on 2016-01-09.5 in ASAS-SN "Brutus" data (compared to 18.5 CRTS
magnitude at discovery on 2015/12/19).
