We obtained a spectrum of MASTER OT J221829.51-024708.5 (ATel #8009) on 2015 September 8.4 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Faulkes Telescope North. Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find a good fit to the luminous, carbon-rich Type Ia SN 2006gz (Hicken et al. 2007, ApJ, 669L, 17) 4 days after maximum light at redshift z=0.094. At this redshift, images taken by LCOGT on 2015 September 8.16 UT show the supernova at an r-band absolute magnitude of about -19.7, which further supports the claim that this object lies on the luminous end of the distribution of Type Ia supernovae.
