We report on the optical monitoring of the cataclysmic variable ASASSN-15ni currently in outburst (ATels #7850, #7854) with the 0.4m UCD Watcher robotic telescope at Boyden Observatory, South Africa.
Observations were carried out from July 28 19:07 UT to 21:26 UT using 3 filters (SDSS g', r' and i') with 10 second exposures. A total of 128 exposures were obtained in each filter. The photometry has been carried out using 4 nearby reference stars from the APASS catalogue. All magnitudes quoted here should be regarded as preliminary.
The source is well detected in all our images with an average magnitude of r' = 13.22 +/- 0.02, i' = 13.43 +/- 0.03 and g' = 13.08 +/- 0.03.
No significant variability is seen in any filter for the duration of our campaign. Colour plots comparing each filter's magnitude (g'-r', g'-i' and r'-i') shows no significant spectral variability.
We plan to continue observing ASASSN-15ni.
