We report the spectroscopic classification of the supernova candidate ASASSN-15ms discovered by the All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (see Atel #7811). The optical spectrum (range 389-800 nm) was obtained using the Goodman spectrograph mounted on SOAR at CTIO on UT 2015-07-23.01. Classification, performed with both GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests the transient to be a Type Ia supernovae around 1 week after maximum light.
