Additional photometry of the apparent nova in M31 designated PNV J00424253+4115139 (ATel #7584 and #7586) obtained on 2015 Jun. 4.059, 5.007, and 6.024 UT with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov yields R = 15.65 ± 0.06, 14.97 ± 0.05, and 14.86 ± 0.05, respectively.
The value R = 14.86 corresponds to absolute mag MR = -9.6 (adopting a distance modulus μ = 24.46 for M31) which puts the object in a group of luminous novae.
Spectroscopic classification of this luminous nova candidate is strongly encouraged.
