We obtained a spectrum of ASASSN-15kg (ATel #7574) on 2015 June 4.4 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Faulkes Telescope South. Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find a good fits to (1) SN 1991T at maximum light, (2) the 91T-like SN 1999aa both before and after maximum light, and (3) the peculiar Type Ia SN 2000cx at maximum light, all at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.014; Theureau et al. 2005, A&A, 430, 373 via NED). We measure the velocity of the Si II 6355 Å feature to be about 9400 km/s, which is slightly slower than in most normal Type Ia supernovae at early phase but faster than in 02cx-like supernovae. The velocity of the Si II feature matches SN 1991T well, but the absorption trough is noticeably deeper than in the spectrum of SN 1991T at maximum. Additional spectra are needed to confirm the classification of this object.
