Spectra were obtained on UT May 25.26 of ASSASN-15jt using the 1.82-m Plaskett telescope (National Research Council of Canada) covering the range 365-720 nm (resolution 0.35 nm). Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows ASSASN-15jt to be a normal type-Ia supernova at pre-maximum light. We find a good fit to the template of SN 2003du at 10 days pre-maximum. Using the published redshift of 2MASX J13080914+2749354 (Rines et al., 2003, AJ 126, 2152) of 0.023 yields an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 11,200 km/sec.
