We report an optical spectrum (range 340-880 nm) of PSN J12040516+1404059 (discovered by the TNTS) that was obtained on May 23.7 2015 UT with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of YNAO. The spectrum is consistent with a type Ia supernova a few days before the maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the comparison tool GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it matches with SN 2003kf at t = -4.1 days. Adopting a redshift of 0.044 for its host galaxy PGC 038162, an expansion velocity of about 12600 km/s can be derived from the absorption minimum of Si II 635.5 nm.
