The AZTEC (Arizona Transient Exploration and Characterization) collaboration reports the spectroscopic classification of PSN J23355226+2336521 in NGC 7712 as a Type Ic. A spectrum was obtained on April 28.48 UT with the B&C spectrograph on the Bok 90'' telescope on Kitt Peak. Classification using GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it most closely resembles the type Ic SN 2004gk approximately 30 days after maximum light, assuming a redshift of z=0.010184.
