We report the spectroscopic classification of supernova Gaia15aem based on a low-resolution spectrum obtained on 2015 Apr. 25.0 UT, with the Nordic Optical Telescope (+ ALFOSC; range 320-910 nm).
Gaia15aem was discovered by the Gaia Photometric Science Alerts programme at magnitude of 18.48 on 2015 Mar. 25.3 UT. Gaia15aem is located ~1.3 arcsec from the centre of the galaxy 2MASX J15043064+2159167.
Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | Disc. Date | Disc Mag | z | Type | Phase | Notes
Gaia15aem | 15:04:30.75 | +21:59:16.7 | 2015-03-25 | 18.48 | ~0.050| SN Ia | ~1 month past max. | (1)
(1) Matches found with several normal SNe Ia at ~1 month after the max. light.
The classifications were done with GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A,488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
