We obtained an optical spectrum (range 350-760 nm) of ASASSN-15ho (ATel #7426) on UT Apr 22.1 with the F. L. Whipple Observatory 1.5-m telescope (+ FAST). The spectrum is that of a normal Type Ia around maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of SN spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows that ASASSN-15ho is a Type Ia at +3 days and with redshift z=0.0460 +/- 0.0046 from the SN features (best fit template is SN 2007kk). After correcting the spectrum for the redshift of its host galaxy we measure a Si II 635.5nm expansion velocity of -11000 km/s.
