We obtained an optical spectrum (range 320-900 nm) of ASASSN-15bc (ATel#6943) on UT 2015 Jan.18.7 with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum is similar to that of a type Ia supernovae at a few days before the maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the comparison tool SNID ((Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows that it matches with SN 1999gp (91T-like) at t = -2 days. Given a redshift of 0.0367 for the host galaxy 2MASX J04061478-0853112, an expansion velocity of about 12000 km/s can be deduced from the Si II 635.5 absorption minimum.
