On behalf of the Carnegie Supernova Project, we report spectroscopic classification of
PSN J08293820-1717473 and ASASSN-14my (ATel#6860), based on visual-wavelength spectra
obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope (+Alfosc).
Name | RA | DEC | Spec. date | Type | Phase | Note
PSN J08-17 | 08:29:38.20 | -17:17:47.30 2014 12 27.1 | Ia | 2-3 weeks post max | (1)
ASAS14my | 11:38:29.98 | -08:58:35.79 | 2015 01 05.1 | Ia | near maximum |
(1) The supernova redshift matches that of the presumed host, MCG-03-22-002, at z=0.018926
(Huchra et al. 2012, Ap.J.S., 199, 26). The spectrum exhibits prevalent host Na I D absorption
with an equivalent width of roughly 4 angstroms.
