Two Cataclysmic Variables and Possible Supernova discovered by MASTER

MASTER OT J205227.38+034355.1 - new CV

MASTER-Kislovodsk auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 20h 52m 27.38s +03d 43m 55.1s on 2014-12-15.69042 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 16.9m (limit 18.9m). The OT is seen in 6 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2014-09-27.73101 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.9m.

The OT at quiescence is identical to the star USNO-B1.0 0937-0579993 (pmRA=-16 pmDE=2 R1=19.86 B2=21.10 R2=19.39) = SDSS J205227.38+034355.3 (g=21.71 r=21.08 i=20.48). Nothing is present at this position in 1RXS, GALEX, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX.

This area of sky in Delphinus was observed by NEAT project on 18 nights from 1998 Aug. 23 to 2005 Sep. 02. A total of 51 images were obtained. No outbursts were detected. There is a possible past outburst in Catalina Sky Survey data. The star is showing a variability between POSS-II red plates being brighter on 1991-09-12 than on 1990-09-12.

Based on the amplitude of variability and proper motion, MASTER OT J205227.38+034355.1 is a new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova in outburst). SDSS colors suggest a long orbital period. MASTER OT J062509.46+283255.1 - PSN in UGC 3462

MASTER-Kislovodsk auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 06h 25m 09.46s +28d 32m 55.1s on 2014-12-15.94440 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 17.0m (limit 19.2m). The OT is seen in 16 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2014-10-07.92828 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.0m.

The OT is located 3" west and 18" south of the center of galaxy UGC 3462 = 2MASX J06250972+2833132 (z=0.0310). Spectral confirmation is required. The discovery and reference images are available at: http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/062509.46283255.1.png

MASTER OT J080803.81+345257.8 - new bright CV

MASTER-Kislovodsk auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 08h 08m 03.81s +34d 52m 57.8s on 2014-12-17.01704 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 15.7m (limit 19.3m). The OT is seen in 8 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2010-12-07.03954 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 20.0m.

The OT at quiescence is identical to the blue star USNO-B1.0 1248-0160539 (B1=20.82 B2=21.03) = SDSS J080803.76+345257.2 (g=21.47 r=21.48 i=21.56) with proper motion (-9.0, 1.1) mas/yr in PPMXL Catalog. There is an UV counterpart with two entries in GALEX Release 6/7: GALEX J080803.7+345257 (FUV=22.10+/-0.16 NUV=22.08+/-0.17) and GALEX J080803.8+345258 (FUV=21.94+/-0.50 NUV=21.38+/-0.24). Nothing is present at this position in 1RXS, 2MASS and GCVS. No previous outbursts were detected by NEAT and Catalina Sky Survey.

Based on the blue color and proper motion, MASTER OT J080803.81+345257.8 is a new cataclysmic variable. Amplitude of variability (~6m) suggests a superoutburst of SU UMa-type dwarf nova. SDSS colors are in favor of the short orbital period. Follow up observations are required.
