Spectroscopic Classification of PSN J07413223+5141209 as a Type IIn Supernova

We obtained an optical spectrum (range 350-830 nm) of PSN J07413223+5141209 on UT 2014 Dec.14.71 with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum is similar to that of a hybrid Ia/IIn-type supernova a few weeks after the maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the comparison tool Gelato (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it matches with SN 2002ic at t = +27 days.
