On 2014-09-09, 13 days after Spitzer discovery, we obtained near-infrared imaging of SPIRITS14beq in IC5152 (ATel#6644) with Retrocam on the Dupont 100-inch telescope. We do not detect a point source, with a 5-sigma limit of 19.8 mag in H-band and 20.1 mag in J-band. Fitting a blackbody to the Spitzer, Retrocam and SALT data (ATel#6740), we estimate an effective temperature of 2000 K but with 7 mag of visual extinction.
