We have obtained additional observations of ASASSN-14fg (ATel #6383) using the double 14-cm "Cassius" telescope in Cerro Tololo, Chile. On UT 2014-08-12.014, two days after the discovery epoch, the transient was below our detection limit, V>17.0. This makes it unlikely to be a supernova.
Given no obvious matches to the coordinates of ASASSN-14fg in Vizier and no sources visible in the archival DSS image, deeper imaging follow-up is requested.
