Discovery of an Apparent Nova in M81

We report the discovery of an apparent nova in M81 on a co-added 1980-s unfiltered CCD frame taken on 2014 Jul. 14.879 UT with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov.
The new object designated PNV J09553157+6905211 is located at R.A. = 9h55m31s.57, Decl. = +69o05'21".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 8.6" west and 86.0" north of the center of M81 (see link to discovery image below).
The following unfiltered magnitudes were obtained using the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov (R-band magnitudes used from comparison stars):
2014 Jun. 27.886 UT, [21.0; Jul. 14.879, 18.6 ± 0.15.
