We report the PTF archival data of ASASSN-14ca (ATel#6211). PTF monitored the field of
ASAASN-14ca in 2009 and 2013 and detected an outburst of this source (internally
designated as PTF09gcm) with a magnitude of r=15.2 on 2009 Nov 02.6 UT. This
outburst lasted for more than 15 days. No other activity has been found in the PTF archive.
Combination of the CRTS, PTF and ASASSN data may indicate that the source has a periodic
outburst every ~4.5 years. The color of r-i=0.97 and i-z=0.52 in its quiescent state suggests an
effective temperature of ~3600K. The periodicity and magnitude change of its outbursts, and its
temperature in quiescence are consistent with a Mira star.
