A spectrum of PSN J15024996+4847062 obtained in wavelength range 350-750 nm on May 14.8 UT with the Indian Astronomical Observatory's 2-m Himalayan Chandra Telescope (+ HFOSC), confirms its classification of a normal type-Ia supernova, a few days before maximum light by P. Ochner et al. (ATel #6140). Using the SNID code of Blondin and Tonry (2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024), the spectrum of PSN J15024996+4847062 is found to match well with that of SN 2002er at about 5 days before maximum light. The velocity corresponding to the minimum of the Si II 635.5-nm absorption feature is estimated as 11500 km/s.
