We obtained optical spectra (4000-10000 A) of PSN J09430082+3146486
and PS1-14xx
using the SED-Machine mounted on the Palomar 1.5-m Telescope. We
report the following classifications using superfit (Howell et
al. 2005, ApJ 634, 1190):
Name | RA | Dec | Spec. Date | Type | Redshift | Notes
PSN J09430082+3146486 | 09:43:00.82 | +31:46:48.6 | May 4.3 | IIb | 0.022 | 1
PS1-14xx | 17:44:12.25 | +50:33:04.6 | May 4.5 | Ia | 0.018 | 2
1) The best matches are to SN 1997dd and SN 1993J. We tentatively
identify He I 6678 and 7065 lines, which suggest a phase 2-3 weeks
after explosion. The redshift is from the host galaxy (via. NED).
2) The phase is likely around 2 weeks after maximum light. The
redshift is from the host galaxy (via. NED).
The SED-Machine is currently being commissioned. The results
reported here should therefore be taken as preliminary.
