Following the report of the Master's detection, as an OT, of the radio source PKS B0415-029 by P. Balanutsa, etal.
Atel #5899, We have observed the source at NIR wavelengths. On February 27th,2014 (JD 2456715.594190)
the source had a flux corresponding to H = 14.96 +/- 0.02 while on March 11Th,2014 (JD 2456727.596250) the brightness of the object have fallen to H = 15.35 +/- 0.02. Hence, indeed the source went through a flaring event. Our observations are carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multiwavelength coverage.
