Additional photometry of the apparent nova in M81 designated PNV J09553246+6903202 (ATel #5873) obtained on 2014 Feb. 11.899 UT with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov yields R = 18.2 ± 0.15.
It corresponds to absolute mag MR = -9.6 (adopting a distance modulus μ = 27.8 for M81) which is close to maximum magnitude MR = -10.2 of M81N 2007-04b and MR = -9.8 of M81N 2013-02a = PNV J09555123+6901482, the most luminous novae observed in M81 (Hornoch et al. 2008, A&A 492, 301 and ATel #4794).
Spectroscopic classification of this latest luminous nova candidate is strongly encouraged.
