We report the prediscovery observation of the type Ia SN 2014J in M82 by the 0.63-m telescope at the Mountain Phoenix Observatory in Nan-Toe, Taiwan. The unfiltered image indicates a magnitude of 12.05 +/- 0.17 on Jan. 18.82 UT, about three days before the discovery. The magnitude was obtained through a maximum-likelihood analysis, referencing seventeen known targets in the field and marginalizing over the uncertainties in modeling out the foreground of M82 and in modeling the detector characteristics. This observatory is owned and operated by National Taiwan University. The image is available at http://jhpw.phys.ntu.edu.tw/atm/20140118_MtPhoenixObs_M82_2014J.jpg
