We report on the NIR brightening of the high redshift quasar PKS0735+17 (z=0.89), also known as CGRaBSJ1058+0133 associated with the gamma-ray source 2FGL1058.4+01.33. Our NIR photometry for this source shows that, on Jan 7th,2014 (JD2456664.985587), the object brightness corresponded to J = 14.817 +/- 0.07, H = 13.813 +/- 0.05 and Ks = 13.116 +/- 0.06. These values are about 1.3 magnitudes brighter than our previous photometry, obtained on JD2456402, for this field. The object is rising towards its previous maximum flux level, H = 12.948 +/- 0.06 shown on JD2455705. Our observations are carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multiwavelength coverage.
