We report on the NIR brightening of the QSO BZBJ0424+0036 (z=0.31), also known as HB89 0422+004, associated with the gamma-ray source 2FGL0424.7+0034, our NIR photometry for this source implies that on Dec 23rd,2013 (JD2456649.89125), the object brightness corresponded to J = 13.543 +/- 0.03, H = 12.770 +/- 0.04 and Ks = 12.028 +/- 0.08. These values are about 0.8 magnitudes brighter than our previous photometry (JD2456343.703866) for this field. Our observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multiwavelength coverage.
