Following the report of the brightening of the source PKS 2354-021, also known as FBQS J2357-0152 (Atel #5614, MASTER OT J235725.11-015215.8) by V, Shumkov et.al., we obtained NIR photometry for this source, finding that on JD2456646.658495, the object brightness corresponded to J = 16,621 +/- 0.03, H = 15.895 +/- 0.05 and Ks = 15.341 +/- 0.06. This values are at least 3 magnitudes brighter as compared with the limit of the 2Mass survey for this field, since the source was not detected then. Our observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multiwavelength coverage.
