Following the report of the Gamma Ray flare (Atel#5472) of the blazar VER 0521+211 (z=0.108) cross identified with the radio source MG2 J052147+2112 and the Fermi LAT source 1FGLJ0521.7+2114, we carried out NIR photometry of this source. Our results show a significant increase in flux in the H band on JD2456582.9414 (October 17th,2013) when the flux in the H band corresponded to H=12.88+/- 0.07 that is over half a magnitude brighter than the flux we determined for this source on JD2455636.624097 (H=13.581+/-0.05). Our observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multi-wavelength coverage.
