We have observed a recent NIR rebrightening of the quasar PKS0507+17 (z=0.416), cross identified with the gamma ray source 1FGL J0510.0+1800. On April 19th, epoch JD2456401.61995, we determined the flux in the H band to be 13.891 +/- 0.08. That is 1.7 magnitudes brighter than the flux determined by the 2mass survey and has had a flux increment of factor of 3 since the epoch JD2456329.699861 when we found this object at a flux level corresponding to H = 15.07 +/- 0.04. The activity of this object had been reported previously in Atels #4424 #4528,#4531,#4546,#4724. Observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage.
