After the recent report of the detection of 1FGLJ1040.5+0616 by the MASTER team (Denisenko, et al. 2013), Atel #4930, We have carried out NIR photometry of the source and found that indeed it it presently much brighter than it was when detected by the 2MASS survey. On JD 2456384.757858, our photometry yielded the following values: H = 14.005 +/- 0.05, J = 14.732 +/- 0.06 and Ks = 13.538 +/- 0.07. In the H band it has brightened by about 2.5 magnitudes, as expected from observations in other bands. Our observations were carried out with CANICA, a NIR camera operating on the 2.1m telescope at the Observatorio Astrofisico Guillermo Haro, located in Cananea, Mexico. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage of this object.
