We obtained a low-resolution optical spectrum of PSN J18501129+3020595 (Shurpakov et al. ATEL #4900) on 2013 March 21.44 UT using the FAST spectrograph mounted on the F.L. Whipple Observatory 1.5m telescope. The spectrum was obtained during an observing trip to FLWO as part of the Astronomy 100 undergraduate course. The spectrum exhibits strong hydrogen Balmer P Cygni lines indicating a Type II supernova. Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 1024, 666) we find a best match with Type
IIP templates at a redshift of z=0.02 and phase of +4 days.
