The LBV SN2009ip has recently returned to outburst (Smith et al., ATel #4412) and is now showing evidence for a transition to a type-IIn supernova (Smith et al, ATel #4427, Burgasser et al, ATel #4431). We used the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) to observe SN2009ip for 68minutes on Sept 26 09:15 UT at 18GHz (4GHz bandwidth). We do not detect the SN in this observation and place a 3sigma upper limit of 66uJy on the flux of an afterglow. We thank that ATCA operations staff for scheduling these observations.
