Supernova (SN) 2009ip has been suggested to make a transition from LBV-like eruptions to a real type-IIn supernova explosion recently (Smith et al., ATel # 4412). We observed SN 2009ip with The Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array telescope in the 22 GHz (K band) and 8.5 GHZ (X bands) frequency bands at 2012 Sep 26.11 UT and Sep 26.14 UT respectively. We did not detect the SN in any of the observations. The 3-sigma upper limits at the SN field of view are 131 uJy in K band (central freq. 21.19 GHz) and 65 uJy in X band (central freq. 8.94 GHz), respectively. Further observations are planned. We are grateful to the commissioning staff for making this observation possible.
