We report spectroscopic follow-up of a recent M31 nova candidate, PTF12gnd. The spectrum was obtained with the Double Spectrograph mounted on the 200-inch Hale telescope at Palomar Observatory on UT 2012/07/15. It shows a continuum whose intensity decreases at both blue and red ends and strong emission lines, such as Balmer series, O I7773, O I 8226, O I 8447, near-IR Ca II triplet and FeII lines in a wavelength range between 4900 and 6500. The FWHM of Halpha is about 1000 km/s. This spectrum confirms that PTF12gnd is a FeII nova in M31.
