We report near-infrared J and H band photometry of the blazer PG 1553+113 obtained with the Mt. Abu 1.2-m telescope (+PRL Near-Infrared NICMOS3 Imager/Spectrometer)following the announcement of intense gamma-ray emission detected by the MAGIC experiment (Atel #4069). The preliminary reduction of these Mt. Abu observations, of 2012 April 28.786 UT and 29.799 UT gives J=12.5 +/- 0.1, H=11.8 +/- 0.1 and J=12.5 +/- 0.1, H=12.0 +/- 0.1 respectively. These values are comparable to the 2MASS values for the object, namely, J=12.541+/- 0.030 and H= 11.897 +/- 0.033 for the epoch 2000 July 17. The earlier reported near-IR values by Rau et al. (2012) for the epoch 2010 February 8, J=13.89 +/- 0.05 and H=13.69 +/- 0.05, are significantly fainter than our present and 2MASS values. Reference : Rau et.al, 2012, A&A, 538, 26
