The optical transient PSN J10250739+1709146 in NGC 3239 (discovered by Moore, Newton and Puckett) was recently confirmed as a young type II supernova (Cao et al.; ATEL#3855) and dubbed 2012A. At UT 2012, January 10.62, we used CARMA to observe this supernova. We report a null-detection in the 3-mm band (at a center frequency of 93 GHz) with a 3 sigma upper limit of 0.41 mJy/beam.
We thank the CARMA staff for scheduling this target of opportunity.
