A new nova candidate in M31

We report a new nova candidate, PTF12js in M31, from daily monitoring by the Palomar Transient Factory (Law et al. 2009). PTF12js is located at RA(J2000)=00:41:41.00, DEC(J2000)=+41:19:43.8. It has magnitudes of R=19.4 on UT 2012 Jan 5.14 and R=18.7 on Jan 6.12. Nothing was there on images taken on Jan 4.12 with a limiting magnitude of R=19.8. All photometric measurements are calibrated with the USNO-B1.0 catalog.
