We triggered target-of-opportunity observations of the field of PTF11kly (ATEL #3581) with the Swift satellite (see also ATEL #3584). Observations with the UV-Optical Telescope (UVOT) were taken in all 6 broadband filters (V, B, U, UVW1, UVM2, and UVW2) beginning at 22:08 UT on 24 August 2011. The supernova is detected in all filters. Neglecting any underlying contribution from the host galaxy M101, we measure the following AB magnitudes at this epoch:
V: 15.10 +/- 0.04
B: 15.37 +/- 0.03
U: 16.58 +/- 0.04
UVW1: 18.32 +/- 0.07
UVM2: 19.23 +/- 0.04
UVW2: 19.12 +/- 0.07
We gratefully acknowledge the effort of the entire Swift team for the prompt execution of our request. Further observations are planned.
