Optical Nova Candidate in M31

We report the discovery of a possible nova located at RA(2000) = 00h42m43.54s, Dec(2000) = +41d16'37.6", which is 8.8" west and 29.1" north of the center of M31. Available R-band magnitude from 3x180sec co-added CCD images taken with the 2m RCC telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria: 2011 May 30.03310 UT, 18.65+/-0.10. The nearest object is No.13305 from WeCAPP Survey - M31 variables (Fliri et al., 2006), classified as regular or semi-regular red variable, at distance 1.88".
