NIR flaring of the FRSQSO B2 2234+28A

We report the ongoing NIR flare of the flat spectrum radio source B22234+28A, a z=0.795 QSO (HB89 2234+282) also a candidate to a gamma ray source CGRaBS J2236+2828. The source was detected in the 2mass survey with H = 16.070 +/- 0.16. Yet, on November 26,2010, JD 2455526.724470, we carried out NIR photometry of this object, our result yields H = 13.431 +/- 0.01. That is a flux increase ratio of ~11, between the two epochs. Observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory of the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage for this interesting variable source.
