We report the ongoing NIR flare of the QSO [HB89]0048-071, z=1.95. It has been identified with the radio source WMAP J005059-064 and it also a candidate for a Gamma Ray Blazar CGRaBsJ0051-0650. In our recent observation on October 14, 2010 (JD2455483.7888), we detected a large increase in flux at NIR wavelengths. It had then a flux corresponding to H = 14.69 +/- 0.05. While, 12 days before on October 02, 2010 (JD 2455471.8979). it had a flux corresponding to H = 16.00 +/- 0.04. That is an increase in luminosity of a factor of 3.6 in a short timescale. Henceforth, we encourage further multiwavelength coverage for this very active source.
