NIR flaring of the QSO B2 1255+32

We call attention on our recent observation of the QSO B2 1255+32, possibly associated with the Gamma Ray source 1FGLJ1258.3+3227, with the CANICA NIR camera on the 2.1m telescope at the Observatorio Astrofísico Guillermo Haro, located in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. On August 4th, 2010 (JD24555412.638), we found this blazar to be in outburst. It showed fluxes about 3 magnitudes brighter than our previous NIR photometry. On this date, the source was found to have a flux corresponding to a magnitude H = 14.007 +/- 0.04. This flux is a factor of 16 times larger than the flux observed on JD24555245.036 H = 17.022 +/- 0.15 with the same instrumental setup. We encourage further multiwavelength observations.
