MAXI/GSC detected increasing X-ray intensity of XTE J1752-223, the new source of RXTE and Swift X-ray transient in the Galactic center region (ATEL #2258).
The X-ray flux in the energy band of 2 - 20 keV is increasing as
less than 10 mCrab in the period of 4:20 - 13:30, 23 Oct, 2009;
30 mCrab at 15:05, 23 Oct;
15 mCrab in 18:10 - 21:10, 23 Oct;
30 mCrab in 22:40, 23 Oct - 6:20, 24 Oct;
40 mCrab in 7:50 - 14:00, 24 Oct;
50 mCrab in 15:30 - 21:30, 24 Oct;
60 mCrab in 23:00, 24 Oct - 2:10, 25 Oct;
110 mCrab at 3:40, 25 Oct;
55 mCrab in 5:10 - 9:45, 25 Oct;
with an uncertainty of +- 10 mCrab (1-sigma) for each scan in the period.
The GSC of MAXI (Matsuoka et al. PASJ 61(2009), 999) is performing the test operation in the commission phase. It scans XTEJ1752-223 intermittently in every 90 minutes.
Further follow-up observations are going on.
