We presents results for Optical spectroscopy of BL Lac candidates performed with the ESO VLT equipped with FORS2. Observations were performed between April and June 2008. We were able to determine new redshift from emission/absorption lines for 5 objects:

OJ -131: z=0.138, BL Lac, from the detection of MgII, [OII], Hbeta and [OIII] in emission;

1ES 1106+244: z=0.482, BL Lac, from the detection of CaII H&K and G band in absorption. This is in agreement with the imaging redshift z=0.46+/-0.2 reported by Sbarufatti et al., 2005, ApJ, 635, 173;

PKS 1815-553: z=1.628, FSRQ, from the detection of CIV, CII] and MgII in emission;

PKS 2149+17: z=0.870, BL Lac, from the detection of CII], MgII and [OII] in emission;

RBS 1899: z=0.607, BL Lac, from the detection of CaII H&K in absorption.
