We report the discovery of a probable nova located at RA(2000) = 00h42m33.92s, Dec(2000) = +41d15'52.9", which is 117" west and 15.6" south of the center of M31. Available R-band magnitude from 3x180sec co-added CCD images taken with the 2m RCC telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria: 2009 June 21.01869 UT, 18.66+/-0.09. The nearest object at distance of 0.30 arcsec is J004233.92+411552.6 (UBVRI phot. in seven Local Group dwarfs galaxies (Massey et al. 2007)) with R-band magnitude of 21.28.

Furthermore, we report additional photometry for the nova candidate 2009-05a (see http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iau/CBAT_M31.html ). We determined an R magnitude of 18.16+/-0.08 on 2009 June 21.01869 UT.
