Continued search by CFHT-COVET (ATEL#1936) reveals two possible
novae in the Virgo Cluster and three bright supernova candidates:

We suggest that COVET-090524A and 090523C are nova candidates based
on spatial coincidence with a Virgo member, corresponding absolute magnitude
and lack of compact source in the reference. COVET-090520A is a curious
supernova candidate which is in between two possible host galaxies at
similar redshift. COVET-090523B is a supernova candidate with a very
faint host in our reference imaging but not in SDSS. Also, COVET-090523A
and 090523B are on the rise. We encourage spectroscopic confirmation and
are happy to provide finding charts upon request.
We thank the CFHT-QSO team for queue serviced observing.
