Optical Light Curve of the X-ray Pulsar Swift J0513.4-6547

We have identified the optical counterpart of the X-ray pulsar Swift
J0513.4-6547 (Krimm et al. 2009, ATel #2011) as LMC star 59.5431.442
in the MACHO database, with R(mean)~15.6 and V-R~+0.05.
The source shows ~0.3 mag (swooping) variations on time scales
of a few hundred days. Such behavior is typical of some X-ray/pulsar
systems. A detailed period analysis reveals no coherent periodicities
between 0.3 and 1000 days. Thus, there is no signature of either an
orbital period or short-period pulsations from the hot star.
