During the current AGILE pointing centered near the Cygnus Region the Gamma-Ray Imaging Detector (GRID) has detected a source positionally consistent with the gamma-ray source previously reported in ATel#1585.

Integrating from 2008-11-16 14:33 UT to 2008-11-17 14:22 UT, a preliminary maximum likelihood analysis shows a detection at a significance level near 5 sigma, with a source flux more than two standard deviations above the mean flux reported in ATel#1585. The positional error box of the source AGL J2021+4032 (integrated over the total AGILE exposure of the field) is centered at Galactic coordinates l = 78.3 deg, b = 2.1 deg, and has a radius of about 0.2 degrees.

The AGILE monitoring of the field containing this source will continue until 2008-11-30 12:00 UT. We strongly encourage multi-frequency observations of the Cygnus field containing the gamma-ray source AGL J2021+4032.
