We report on the detection of the brightening of QSO B2344+514 by the Wide-field X-ray Telescope (WXT) on board Einstein Probe (EP). Starting from 2026 October 8, the 0.5-4 keV flux increased from the low-state value of a few times of 10^-11 erg cm^-2 s^-1 to the current value of ~1x10^-10 erg cm^-2 s^-1 and remained bright.

Launched on January 9, 2024, EP is a space X-ray observatory to monitor the soft X-ray sky with X-ray follow-up capability (Yuan et al. 2022, Handbook of X-ray and Gamma-ray Astrophysics).
